DJ ANDY SMITH is quite simple a Dj legend. No one better embodies the dramatic transformation in the club scene over the last decade than ANDY SMITH.
ANDY SMITH is best known for his association with Trip Hop superstars PORTISHEAD, his work as a Dj, sample supplier, producer, broadcaster and record compiler have made him one of the most respected club Djs and reverd people in the music industry.
Since 1998 Andy Smith has been releasing multi-genre mix albums, blending and scratching vintage funk, R&B, and Soul with doses of contemporary Hip Hop. When his highly entertaining Mix CD “The Document” was released, it became the soundtrack for a generation such as Kruder and Dorfmeister’s DJ KICKS.
He runs his weekly Northern Soul night ‘Jam Up Twist’ nights around the UK (compilation out now on BGP Records).
DJ AND SMITH’s set will mirror no doubt his Old School influences of 70s, 80s, 90s Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Boogie, Reggae and pure party vibes – BRISTOL STYLE.
Expect a brilliantly, funky and accomplished set by DJ ANDY SMITH accompanied by MC HONEYBROWN.
